The Selberg trace formula for bordered Riemann surfaces (Q1308723): Difference between revisions

The authors derive a Selberg trace formula for Laplace-Beltrami operators on Riemann surfaces with boundary with Dirichlet or Neumann conditions. This is achieved by reducing it to a Selberg trace formula for the compact double. The determinants of such elliptic problems are then described in terms of Selberg's zeta function. Moreover the Selberg zeta function for the Dirichlet problem is also described as a Dirichlet series.
