An elastic/viscoplastic constitutive equation with nonassociated viscoplastic potential of Cristescu type is determined for describing the mechanical characteristics of the bituminous concrete. This material is used for rockfill dam watertightening. The model based on the nonassociated viscoplastic potential describes correctly both from a qualitative and from a quantitative point of view the mechanical characteristics of the bituminous concrete.
