Convergence of general decompositions of exponential operators (Q1330948): Difference between revisions

In previous papers the author has studied some decompositions of the \(m\)th order approximant \(Q_ m(z)\) to a exponential \(\exp(z(A_ 1+\cdots+ A_ q))\) depending on \(z\in \mathbb{C}\) of non-commuting continuous operators \((A_ i)\) in a Banach space. Here he gives a general result for the convergence of \(Q_ m(z)\) as \(m\to\infty\). As a consequence, he obtains a unified proof of the convergence of some generalized Trotter- like formulas, the real fractal decomposition, and other decompositions.
