On generalized pseudo Ricci symmetric manifolds (Q1337016): Difference between revisions

A non-flat Riemannian manifold \((M^ n,g)\) \((n > 2)\) whose Ricci tensor \(S\) is not identically zero and satisfies the condition \[ (\nabla_ X S) (Y,Z) = 2A(X) S(Y,Z) + B(Y) S(X,Z) + C(Z) S(Y,X) \] where \(A\), \(B\) and \(C\) are three non-zero 1-forms is called a generalized pseudo Ricci symmetric manifold \(\text{(G(PRS)}_ n\) for short). In the reviewed paper the authors investigate some curvature properties of \(\text{G(PRS)}_ n\) manifolds. Among others, they give a necessary and sufficient condition for a \(\text{G(PRS)}_ n\) manifold with \(A(X) \neq C(X)\) to have zero scalar curvature.
