    Sikorskis Definition des Differentialraums \((M,C)\) wird von den Autoren dadurch verallgemeinert, daß sie nicht nur Funktionen betrachten, die auf ganz \(M\) definiert sind, sondern Garben von stetigen Funktionen. Dabei kann die Topologie von \(M\) beliebig vorgegeben werden. Lineare Zusammenhänge und Krümmungen lassen sich wie üblich erklären. Diese ``strukturierten Räume'' sind geeignet, um als Modell für singuläre Raum-Zeiten einschließlich dem Schmidtschen Bündelrand zu dienen. Einige Eigenheiten dieses Bündelrands, z.B. die Verletzung der Hausdorff-Eigenschaft, werden erst durch die ``strukturierten Räume'' verständlich.
