The author examines the behaviour of lines of curvature of immersed hypersurfaces of \(\mathbb{R}^ 4\) in the neighbourhood of principal cycles. He follows the line of research engraved by C. Gutierrez and J. Sotomayor for studying lines of curvature of surfaces of \(\mathbb{R}^ 3\). This approach is based upon the theory of dynamical systems and foliation theory. He builds upon this theory and proves new propositions establishing his main result. That is, given a principal cycle of principal foliation of the immersion, it is possible to make it into a hyperbolic one with an appropriate deformation of the immersion.
