The authors consider a nonlinear model for the evolution of temperature in a one-dimensional rod. They obtain exponential time-decay estimates for the solution and its derivatives, both for Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions. It is apparent that the method may be applied to any order of the derivatives.
