The authors give some results related to the theory of reflection operators and contemporary numerical algorithms for the solution of radiative transfer problems. They include estimates of reflection operator norms, construction of domain decomposition methods and estimation of their convergence rate. The study of this paper may be extended to other such problems as three- dimensional geometry dependent on an energy variable with anisotropic phase function characterising a scattering.
