It is known that the concepts of stability and attractivity are independent for continuous systems in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) with \(n\geq 2\). It is proven that one-dimensional discrete dynamical systems do not possess attractors that are unstable. Also, a \(C^1\) two-dimensional discrete system with a global attractor that is unstable is constructed.
