It is shown that finite transformations acting on binary representations of real numbers (called \(R\)-converters) yield fractal sets, for example, the von Koch curve, the Sierpiński gasket, and continuous nowhere differentiable functions with complete spectra of left and right derivatives at each point. Relationships with other fractal constructions, e.g., based on iterated function systems and cellular automata are not discussed.
