This clear and readable paper contains numerous results, which are imposible to render adequately here. Therefore we limit ourselves by giving the author's abstract: Given distinct varieties \(V\) and \(W\) of the same type, we say that \(V\) is relatively \(W\)-universal if there exists an embedding \(F : K \to V\) from a universal category \(K\) such that for every pair \(A,B\) of \(K\)-objects, a homomorphism \(f : FA \to FB\) has the form \(f = Fg\) for some \(K\)-morphism \(g : A \to B\) iff \(\text{Im} (f) \notin W\). Finitely generated relatively \(W\)-universal varieties of Heyting algebras are described for the variety \(W\) of Boolean algebras, the variety generated by a three-element chain, and for the variety generated by the four-element Boolean algebra with an added greatest element.
