A fully special discretization method for solving Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations with periodic boundary conditions is presented. The time dimension is approximated by the Chebyshev pseudospectral approach and the spatial dimension uses a Fourier-Galerkin representation. The coefficients are obtained by direct minimization of an object functional and the convergence of the method is proved.
