The author considers sets of points in \(2- (v,k,l)\)-designs whose intersection numbers with blocks are all congruent to a given integer mod a fixed integer. He obtains, by computations, arithmetic conditions which must be satisfied by the parameters, recovers some folk theorems and applies the results to projective planes which in most cases turn out to be of non prime power orders. Possible behaviours of possible pairs of sets with two intersection numbers in projective planes are also shown (again by arithmetic methods). No example is provided. (In the references, some papers should have been included which are relevant to the subject. The English is very poor).
