In this interesting paper, the author gives a brief survey of a Leray-Schauder type continuation principle for weakly condensing operators, a fixed point principle which is different from that of \textit{G. Emmanuele} [Bull. Math. Soc. Sci. Math. Roum., Nouv. Sér. 25(73), 353-358 (1981; Zbl 0482.47027)], and an application to boundary value problems for second order equations of type \(y''= f(t,y,y')\).
