In this paper \textit{D. Byeon} and \textit{H. K. Kim} intend to obtain various class number two criteria for real quadratic fields with the same method as they obtained class number 1 criteria in their previous paper [J. Number Theory 57, 328-339 (1996; Zbl 0846.11060)]. Namely, they use two ways of computing special values of the Dedekind zeta function of a real quadratic field. One of them uses Siegel's formula, and another applies the reciprocity law for generalized Dedekind sums, which is due to Lang. Comparing two such values of zeta function, they derive their main theorem. Real quadratic fields considered here are restricted to Richaud-Degert type, since this method uses an explict form of the fundamental unit of real quadratic fields. As an application of their method, they also construct real quadratic fields of class number divisible by any given positive integer.
