The author combines ideas of \textit{C. Deninger} [Invent. Math. 96, 1-69 (1989; Zbl 0721.14004) and Ann. Math. (2) 132, 131-158 (1990; Zbl 0721.14005)] and \textit{C. Soulé} [ Duke Math. J. 54, 249-269 (1987; Zbl 0627.14010)] to prove a \(p\)-adic analogue of the Beilinson conjectures for motives associated with Hecke characters of imaginary quadratic fields \(K\). More precisely, let \(\varphi\) be such a Hecke character of positive weight \(w\). Deninger (loc. cit.) constructed a motive \(M\) in \({\mathcal M}_\mathbb{Q} (K)\), the category of Chow motives over \(K\) with coefficients in \(\mathbb{Q}\), such that the \(L\)-series of \(M\) coincides with that of \(\varphi\), and he proved parts of the Beilinson conjectures for \(M\) relating the leading coefficient of \(L(M,-n)\) to a regulator map from \(K_{2n+w+1} (M)_\mathbb{Q}^{(n+w+1)}\) to Deligne cohomology. Here, following Deninger, the author constructs an analogous motive \(M\) in the category \({\mathcal M}_{\mathbb{Z}_p}(K)\) of Chow motives over \(K\) with coefficients in \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) such that the Galois group of \(K\) acts like the Hecke character on a certain cohomology group of \(M\). Following Soulé, he constructs a \(\mathbb{Z}_p\)-submodule \({\mathcal V}\) of special elements of \(K_{2n+w+1} (M,\mathbb{Z}_p)^{(n+w+1)}\) coming from certain elliptic units (some conditions are imposed on \(p,n,w\)), as well as a regulator map \(R\) from that piece of \(p\)-adic \(K\)-theory to a suitable Galois cohomology group such that the length (over a certain ring which enters in the construction of \(M\)) of the cokernel of \(R_{|{\mathcal V}}\) equals the \(p\)-adic valuation of a special value of a certain two variable \(p\)-adic \(L\)-series (a \(p\)-adic analogue of \(L(\varphi,-n))\). Specializing to \(w=1\), he recovers (and generalizes) a theorem of Soulé (loc. cit.) on regulators attached to the \(p\)-adic \(K\)-theory of \(CM\) elliptic curves, with a precise description of the Adams eigenspaces which are involved.
