This paper obtains results on the period (called index) and exponent of circulant matrices over an algebra which has operations defined by maximum and minimum in a linearly ordered set, essentially equivalent to the fuzzy algebra. For instance it is proved that the exponent is at most the dimension of the matrices minus 1.
