Quantum systems with diagonal singularity: Their logic and intrinsic irreversibility (Q1381875): Difference between revisions

The nonequilibrium statistical physics of nonintegrable large quantum systems involves spectral decompositions of evolution operators in rigged Hilbert space topologies. This extension of the standard Hilbert space framework needs a novel characterization of the algebra of observables, together with that of states and (quantum) logic arising in the description of intrinsically irreversible quantum systems. In particular, a suitable version of the master equation leads to a new class of quantum Markov semigroups, which go beyond the Gorini-Kossakowski-Lindblad theory.
