This part III is based on the previous articles [part I, cf. the authors, ibid. 118, No. 1, 1-33, Art. No. 0016 (1996; Zbl 0848.34005), part II, Proc. Japan Acad., Ser. A 72, No. 7, 144-147 (1996; Zbl 0873.34048)] and \textit{T. Aoki} [WKB analysis of Painlevé transcendents. Structure of solutions of differential equations. Singapore: World Scientific (1996)] and completes them. The solutions to six Painlevé equations \(P_J\) (\(J= I\) to \(VI\)) with a large parameter \(\eta\) are analyzed. A reduction theorem for the 2-parameter solutions \(\lambda_J(t;\alpha, \beta)\) is established. These solutions are constructed in the first reference cited above by a multiple-scale analysis as a result of a generalization of the corresponding result for the \(0\)-parameter solutions \(\lambda^{(0)}_J\) given in the second reference. The \(P_J\) is regarded as the condition that enables one to deform some relevant Schrödinger equation \(SL_J\) in an isomonodromic manner. An analysis of the canonical form of \(SL_J\) and its isomonodromic deformation is used to establish a transformation between \(SL_J\) and \(SL_I\).
