The authors give an asymptotic expansion and an infinite product representation for the Vignéras multiple gamma-function \(G_n(z)\) [\textit{M. F. Vignéras}, Asterisque 61, 235-249 (1979; Zbl 0401.10036)] and for its \(q\)-analogue, the multiple \(q\)-gamma-function [\textit{M. Nishizawa}, Lett. Math. Phys. 37, No. 2, 201-209 (1996; Zbl 0872.33011)]. The results in the first case are classically obtained from the results in the second case by letting \(q\) tend to 1.
