The authors find the existence of infinitely many symmetries for the homogeneous scalar evolution equations of a certain form. Algorithms are presented to determine if the system has symmetry. In case the system has one generalized symmetry, it has infinitely many symmetries and all of them may be found with the help of recursion operators or master symmetries. The authors present a list of 10 integrable hierarchies.
