The author characterizes measurable subsets of a given domain \(D\subset \mathbb{R}^n\) on which \(\text{BMO}(D)\) functions are \(L^p\) integrable or exponentially integrable. In particular, uniform domains are characterized by the integrability of BMO functions. The paper also contains a remark on the boundedness of domains satisfying a certain integrability condition for the quasihyperbolic metric.
