The authors consider the first-order equation \[ \dfrac{d}{dt}[x(t)-R(t)x(t-r)]+ P(t)x(t-\tau)- Q(t)x(t-\sigma)= f(t)\quad\text{for}\quad t\geq t_0, \tag{1} \] with \(P,Q,R\in C([t_0,\infty), \mathbb{R}^+)\), \(f\in C([t_0, \infty),\mathbb{R})\), \(r,\tau ,\sigma \in (0,\infty)\), \(\tau\geq \sigma\). Sufficient conditions are established for the oscillation of all solutions to (1) in the case \(A(t)\equiv R(t)+\int_{t-\tau +\sigma}^tQ(s)ds=1\) for \(t\geq t_0\) or \(A(t)\leq 1\) or \(A(t)\geq 1\). Note that there is no comparison or other connection of the obtained results with other one.
