The author considers a problem of practical decentralized stabilization for a class of large-scale control affine nonlinear systems with interconnections including time-varying delays. The problem is solved using a Lyapunov type machinery and state feedback controllers independent of the delays are designed which ensure uniform ultimate boundedness of the overall system. The results are obtained under assumptions on continuity, boundedness and positivity of functions representing the time-varying delays and matching conditions satisfied by the interconnections. Moreover, modifying the controller, the author is able to prove robust asymptotic stability of the system as the limiting case of previously found properties of the system dynamics. For nominally linear completely controllable subsystems the uniform ultimate boundedness could be guaranteed by a class of linear decentralized state feedback controllers. The efficiency of the proposed design is demonstrated by a numerical example.
