Using the electrostatic ``particle-in cell'' method, the author obtains a numerical solution for the problem of bounded plasma (electrons and ions). A one-dimensional model describes bounded electrons and ions with a bulk source of charged particles and with an absorbing sheath. This model includes as a particular case the Emmert model for a bulk source. The author uses an algorithmic procedure for simulation of binary Coulomb collisions by employing the Monte Carlo method. Additionally, he gives a mathematical model for longitudinally bounded plasma, and investigates formation and evolution of potential structures in bounded plasmas. Results of numerical simulations are used to discuss the behavior of charged particles.
