A quantum kinetic equation for strongly interacting particles is derived in the framework of density operator technique. In contrast to conventional kinetic theory, which is valid only on large-time scales as compared to the collision time, this approach retains the full time regime, especially on short-time scales. This means that the retardation and memory effects resulting from the dynamics of binary and initial correlations, are included in the theory. The resulting kinetic equation conserves the total energy. An additional advantage of this generalization is the account of many-body effects. To illustrate the effects of memory and damping, the authors present numerical simulations.
