For the Euler-Poisson-Darboux equation \[ u_{tt}+ ({k\over t}) u_t-u_{xx}= f(u),\;k\in\mathbb{R}, \] \(u(x,0)=u_0(x)\), \(u_t(x,0)=0\) \((0<x<a)\) and with nonlocal boundary conditions \[ u(0,t)= \int^a_0M(y)|u(y,t)|^pdy,\;u(a,t)=\int^a_0N(y) \bigl|u(y,t)\bigr|^qdy,\;(p,q>0,\;t>0) \] there are obtained criteria such that the solution must have finite escape time. The proof uses comparison results with solutions of an ordinary differential-inequality.
