The authors develop the pseudodifferential calculus for boundary value problems on manifolds with edges. Each symbol of the corresponding pseudodifferential operators is a sum of three terms: an analytic edge symbol (investigated by the same authors in two previous papers), a smoothing meromorphic Mellin symbol, and a Green symbol. The last two symbols are the object of the present study. Moreover, scales of appropriate weighted Sobolev spaces with asymptotics based on Mellin transform are introduced and the mapping properties of the operators on these spaces are investigated. The approach here proposed enables the authors to study the regularity and the asymptotics of solutions to elliptic equations on these spaces.
