On the Bézout construction of the resultant (Q1808661): Difference between revisions

The aim of the paper is to give methods for solving systems of polynomial equations. Ideas of Bezout, Poisson, Netto and Laurent are used. They are treated from determinantal and from Gröbner basis point of view. Effective algorithms are given to compute the multivariate resultant, to find an eliminant or to represent the zeros as rational function of the roots of the eliminant.
