The author constructs minimal immersions and Chen immersions with non-flat normal bundle which are not product immersions. He obtains results on minimal immersions which are, partially, a generalization of the minimal hypersurfaces in 4-dimensional space forms studied by \textit{M. Kimura} (cf. [Tokyo J. Math. 16, 241-260 (1993; Zbl 0795.53059)]). By using the push-out map he gives a result on Chen immersions with non-flat normal bundle and constructs many examples of minimal and Chen immersions.
