This paper deals with sufficient conditions for the matrix \(A= (a_{ij})\) that imply the existence of a unique solution of the stage equations \[ Y_{n,j}= y_n+ h \sum^s_{j= 1} a_{ij} f(t_n+ c_j h,Y_{n,j}),\quad i= 1,2,\dots, s, \] for the class of dissipative problems with respect to \(l_\infty\)- and \(l_1\)-norms. Also a sufficient condition that implies the BSI-stability of the stage equations is presented. Finally, the unique solvability behavior of the stage equations of some families of Runge-Kutta methods is established by means of the sufficient condition.
