An interesting method is given for solving a class of Cauchy integral equations numerically. The authors work out the method in details for the case when only a finite and noisy data set is available. Full care is taken of the numerical stability. The numerical analysis involved herein is based on the asymptotic behaviour of Pollaczek polynomials \(P_m[-i(n+{1\over 2})]\) for large values of \(m\) (at fixed \(n\)) whose proof is given in the paper as an appendix.
