Convergence of Bieberbach polynomials in domains with interior cusps (Q5926440): Difference between revisions

Given a fixed point \(z_o\) of a bounded Jordan domain G, let \(\varphi:G \to \{z\): \(|z|<R\}\) be the conformal mapping with \(\varphi (z_o) = 0\). Let \(B_n\) be the Bieberbach polynomial of \(G\) of degree \({\leq n}\) with \(B_n(z_o)= 0, \quad B'_n(z_o) = 1\). In [\textit{V. V. Andrievskij}, Theory of mappings and approximation of functions, Collect. sci. Work, Kiev 1983, 3-18 (1983; Zbl 0576.30031)] the first author has shown that \( B_n \rightarrow \varphi\) uniformly on \(\overline G\). In this paper it is shown that if \(\partial G\) is piecewise quasianalytic with \(x^p-type\) interior zero angles then there exist \(q=q(G)\), \(r=r(Q)\), \(0<q,r<1\), and \(C=C(G)>0\) such that \(\|\varphi - B_n\|_{\infty} \leq Cq^{n^r}, \quad n\geq 1\).
