The author considers a steady irrotational flow arround a spherical bubble lying on the axis of a cylindrical pipe. The bubble radius is considered to be very small in comparison with the pipe radius, the velocity of the fuid at large distances from the bubble is constant, and the velocity of the fluid on the wall is different from zero. When the Weber number is small, the bubble does not remain spherical. The author considers the case when the viscosity of the fluid is different from zero and the Reynolds number is high. In this case there appears a boundary layer on the walls and on the bubble, and the formation of a bubble wake is possible. For the solution of the corresponding boundary problems the author uses asymptotic expansions and numerical methods. The results are presented in plots, and are commented and compared with other results from the literature.
