A two-phase magnetic fluid model for pulsatile flow of blood is examined by regarding blood as a suspension of magnetic particles (red cells) in non-magnetic plasma, and by using a more realistic input data for pressure gradient. The authors obtain closed-form analytical solutions, and introduce a new idea of driving force profiles which helps to some extent in detecting numerical, algebraic or formulation errors. A non-dimensional number \(S_N\) introduced in the study governs the control of flow and its behaviour.
