Anisotropic diffusions with singular advections and absorptions. I: Existence (Q5950589): Difference between revisions

The author considers an anisotropic filtration problem with singular advections and strong absorptions, which leads to a quasilinear degenerate parabolic equation in divergence form. He proves the existence of solutions to the Cauchy problem and to the first initial-boundary value problem in two steps. First he shows how to obtain the weak solutions and then he proves its continuity. For part II see [ibid. 817-823 (2001; Zbl 0987.35093)].
