Mathematical analysis of a Stefan problem with Dirichlet-Signorini boundary conditions appearing in polythermic ice sheet modeling (Q5953088): Difference between revisions

The existence of a weak solution for a two-phase Stefan problem with convection and mixed Signorini and Dirichlet boundary conditions is proved. The Signorini condition is expressed in terms of a monotone operator. To achieve the solution an implicit time discretization and a regularization procedure are used.
