Distance aggregation operators are introduced. In the case of singleton-based distance, a well-known class of \(K\)-medians is recovered. For interval-based distance, a characterization of \((p,r)\)-distance aggregation operators is given, in the general case as well as for idempotent operators. Triangle-medians based on the triangle of median factors are introduced. OWA operators are shown to be linear convex combinations of special triangle-medians.
