This paper establishes the existence of global minimizers associated to a Ginzburg-Landau-type energy functional. The presence of the anisotropic framework imposes the study in an appropriate weighted Sobolev space. The proof of the main result is based on a weighted Poincaré inequality combined with standard variational arguments and elliptic estimates.
