The authors study the oscillation and stability of the nonlinear neutral impulsive delay differential equation \[ (a(t)x(t)-p(t)x(t-\delta_{0}(t)))'+f(t,x(t-\delta_{1}(t)),\ldots,x(t-\delta_{m}(t)))=0, \quad t\not=t_k, \;t\geq t_0, \] \[ x(t_{k}^{+})-x(t_{k})=b_{k}x(t_{k}), \quad k=1,2,\ldots. \] The main result obtained is that the oscillation and stability of the above impulsive equation is equivalent to those of the corresponding nonimpulsive equation. For this equation, the authors use the well known results on neutral delay differential equations without impulses. Two examples illustrating this theory are given.
