Given a space \(X\), consider the homotopy orbit space \(X^p_{hG}=EG\times _GX^p\), where \(G\) is a subgroup of the symmetric group \(\Sigma_p\), \(p\) prime. The authors compute the complex oriented cohomology and, in particular, Morava \(K\)-theories of such spaces. They use these calculations in order to describe the interaction between Chern classes of transfered bundles and transfered Chern classes for transfers in finite coverings.
