The paper deals with the \(n\)th-order superlinear delay differential equation \[ x^{(n)}(t)=p(t)| x(t-\tau)|^{\alpha-1}x(t-\tau),\tag{1} \] \(t\geq t_0\), where \(\alpha>1\), \(\tau>0\), \(n>1\) is an even integer, and \(p\in C([t_0,\infty),[0,\infty))\). The author shows that equation (1) always has an unbounded positive solution and he presents sufficient conditions for every bounded solution of (1) to be oscillatory, and the conditions under which the equation (1) has a bounded nonoscillatory solution.
