Gromov-Witten invariants of noncompact symplectic manifolds (Q1876868): Difference between revisions

The article is an announcement of the author's results about defining Gromov-Witten invariants for noncompact symplectic manifolds which are geometrically bounded. Restricting his attention to a suitable class of stable maps, he proves that there is a virtual fundamental class on the space of these maps. The invariants defined in this way fulfill the divisor and the fundamental class axiom, as well as the usual composition law for the Gromov-Witten invariants.
