The author generalizes a theorem of Zwara concerning the degeneration of modules over Artinian algebras. Two cases are considered and full characterisation is given in both: degeneration along discrete valuation rings and along affine lines. Then numerous interesting remarks are given for the case of a commutative Noetherian algebra.
