In the article an operad and a co-operad will be constructed. The operad is a Hopf operad which contains the Poisson operad and the so-called Bessel operad. It is defined by a certain distributive law between the commutative operad and an operad which contains the Lie operad and the Griess operad of suspended, commutative non-associative algebras. This Hopf operad is called Ramanujan operad. The second object constructed in the article is a Hopf co-operad defined over a collection of algebras given by generators and relations. It is conjectured that the Ramanujan operad is isomorphic to the dual operad of this Hopf co-operad.
