Let \(X\) be a Banach space with countable unconditional basis, \(\Omega\) a pseudoconvex open set in \(X\) and \(M\) a complete intersection in \(\Omega\). The author proves, in the main part of this paper, that \(H^q(M,L)=0\) and \(H^q(\Omega,I^Z)=0\) for \(q\geq1\), where \(L\) is a holomorphic line bundle on \(M\), \(Z\) is a Banach space and \(I^Z\) is the sheaf of germs of holomorphic functions \(\Omega\to Z\) which vanish on \(M\). These results are generalisations of a theorem of \textit{L. Lempert} [Invent. Math. 142, No. 3, 579--603 (2000; Zbl 0983.32010)]. The proofs use results of Lempert and the author. In the final section, added after the earlier part was completed, the author proves that, with slightly different hypotheses, \(H^q(M,E)=0\) for \(q\geq1\), where now \(E\) is a holomorphic Banach vector bundle on \(M\). This uses a later result of \textit{L. Lempert} [Asian J. Math. 8, No. 1, 65--86 (2004; Zbl 1089.32011)].
