Extending his previous paper in [Monatsh. Math. 127, No. 2, 99--114 (2002; Zbl 1033.26019)], the author studies the nonlinear Nemytskij operator \(Hf(x)= h(x,f(x))\) in the space \[ BV([a_1,b_1]\times\dots\times [a_n,b_n],\mathbb{R}). \] In particular, he shows that only affine functions \(h\) generate a Lipschitz continuous operator \(H\) in this space.
