Let \(B(H)\) denote the set of all bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space \(H\). An operator \(T\in B(H)\) is said to be normaloid if \(\|T\|\) equals the spectral radius \(r(T)\) of \(T\). A complex number \(\lambda\) is said to be a normal eigenvalue of \(T\) if \(\lambda\) is an eigenvalue of \(T\) and the eigenspace corresponding to \(\lambda\) reduces \(T\). A part \(T|H_0\) of \(T\) is its restriction to an invariant subspace \(H_0\) of \(T\). In this paper, it is mainly proved that if every part of \(T\), and (also) invertible part of \(T\), is normaloid, and every nonzero isolated eigenvalue of \(T\) is normal, then the Riesz projection \(P_\lambda\) associated to a nonzero isolated eigenvalue \(\lambda\) is a selfadjoint operator and \(P_\lambda H = (T-\lambda)^{-1}(0) = (T^*-\bar\lambda)^{-1}(0)\).
