Asymptotic expansions containing parabolic cylinder functions \(D_p(z)\) -- entire functions of \(z\) satisfying differential equation \(y''+(p+1/2-z^2/4)y=0\) and such that \(D_p(z)=e^{-z^2/4} z^p(1+O(1/z^2))\), are considered. These expansions are called PC-ansatz. In the paper the following PC-ansatz \[ e^{ikl(x)}\left(AD_p(\sqrt{k}e^{-i\pi/4}m(x))+ k^{-1/2} e^{i\pi/4}BD'_p(\sqrt{k}e^{-i\pi/4}m(x))\right), \] where \(A\) and \(B\) are formal power series \(A=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} \frac{A_n(x)}{(ik)^n}\), \(B=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\frac{B_n(x)} {(ik)^n}\) and smooth functions \(l(x)\), \(m(x)\), \(A_n(x)\), \(B_n(x)\), \(x\in\mathbb R^r\,(r=2,3)\) are to be determined is considered. It is assumed that the wavefront is described by the Helmholtz equation \(\Delta u+k^2u=0\). Analytical expressions in the first approximation for wave field in the penumbra of the wave reflected by impedance or transparent cone are obtained.
