The authors introduce a class of ``quasi-linear'' mappings \(f:X \to Y\) between F-spaces (i.e., complete metrisable topological vector spaces) for which the closed graph theorem holds. We do not give the definition here. The point is that quasi-linearity is defined in such a way that the graph \(G=\{(x,f(x)):x \in X\}\) endowed with the addition \((x,f(x)) \oplus (y,f(y)) = (x+y, f(x+y))\) and a similarly defined multiplication becomes an F-space whenever \(G\) is closed in \(X \times Y\). Just as in the classical linear case, the open mapping theorem for the (linear) first projection then implies continuity. The article contains several rather elementary examples of quasi-linear but non-linear mappings which, however, seem contrived. Applications to concrete problems are missing.
